HR 1845 Hirochi Robaina Cigar Review
It's time for another honest cigar review. This time we are smoking the HR 1845 Hirochi Robaina Signature Line. HR 1845 Hirochi Robaina is the personal brand of Hirochi Robaina, who is part of the Robaina family known in cigar circles for its Cuban tobacco heritage. While his cigars are produced in Nicaragua, the blend concept draws on the classic Cuban flavor tradition combined with strong Nicaraguan tobaccos, resulting in a distinctly balanced and approachable smoke. We both approached this one with fairly neutral expectations and ended up enjoying it more than expected.
The Robaina name naturally brings some Cuban associations, but this cigar stands on its own rather than trying to live off heritage alone. It feels like a modern Nicaraguan cigar with a classic flavor direction, familiar, balanced and easy to appreciate.

Construction and draw
Construction was very solid on both samples. The wrapper looked well applied with a slightly oily feel, and the draw had just the right amount of resistance. Axel smoked his outdoors in windy conditions and still had a clean burn with no real issues. Ash held together well and smoke output was steady throughout. Overall, this felt like a well made cigar without any fuss.
Flavor
Flavor wise, cubanesque notes were quite obvious to both of us. Espresso, cocoa and dark wood show up early, followed by leather and a soft underlying sweetness. As it progresses, the cigar becomes slightly darker and richer but never aggressive. Nothing sharp or harsh, just a steady and enjoyable profile.
Pairing
Both of us enjoyed this cigar with rum and coke, although on different occasions. The sweetness from the drink pairs nicely with the darker flavors of the cigar without overpowering it. Coffee would also be a natural match here.

Who will enjoy this
This cigar is a good fit for smokers who enjoy Cuban style flavor profiles but want the reliability of Nicaraguan construction. It suits intermediate to experienced smokers best and works well as a relaxed evening cigar when you want something flavorful but not overwhelming.
