L’Pure Corojo Cigar Review
Alexander, Sisuman
Time for another honest cigar review, and this time we are trying something from a smaller boutique producer, the L’Pure Corojo. Axel and I smoked this one together and ended up having very similar impressions, which does not always happen when two people try the same cigar.
This particular session had a nice relaxed setup as well. I paired mine with a bottle of Weston’s apple cider, while Axel went for a classic rum and coke combination. It turned out to be one of those cigars that works easily with different drinks and settings, something we both appreciated.

Construction and draw
Construction looked very neat right from the start. The wrapper had that slightly rustic Corojo appearance and the cigar felt well packed without being overly firm. Axel’s sample burned perfectly from start to finish, while mine developed a small canoe at one point, but nothing serious and it was easy to correct quickly. Smoke output was good and the draw stayed comfortable throughout the session.
Flavor
Flavor wise we both landed on a very similar profile. Leather and earth formed the base of the cigar, with a gentle pepper spice showing up in the background. As it developed, some additional depth appeared with hints of toasted wood, light cocoa and a slightly nutty character. There was also a faint natural sweetness here and there, but overall the cigar stayed nicely in the middle ground between bitter and creamy.
That balanced middle ground actually felt refreshing. It is not trying to be overly sweet or overly bold, just steady and flavorful from start to finish.
Pairing
This cigar handled different drinks very well. The apple cider added a light fruity sweetness that worked nicely with the earthy character, while Axel’s rum and coke pairing brought out a bit more of the spice and darker notes. Overall it felt like a cigar that adapts easily to different drink choices.
Who will enjoy this
If you enjoy medium bodied cigars that focus on earthy, leathery flavors with a bit of spice, the L’Pure Corojo is an easy one to recommend. It does not try to overwhelm the palate and instead offers a balanced and straightforward profile that works in many situations, from a casual afternoon smoke to a relaxed evening session.
